A delightful treat perfect for the holiday season or any occasion. Easy to make and great for snacking.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 200 g nuts (e.g., walnuts, almonds, or hazelnuts)
- 150 g sugar
- 50 g butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar (optional)
- 1/2 dl water

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and roast the nuts for about 10 minutes until slightly toasted. Remove from the oven and let them cool.
2. In a saucepan, heat the sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.
3. Add the butter and stir until melted. Continue cooking until the mixture turns a golden color.
4. Add the toasted nuts to the saucepan and mix well to coat the nuts in the caramel.
5. Pour the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and spread it evenly. Sprinkle with salt and vanilla sugar.
6. Allow to cool at room temperature and break into pieces before serving.
