A delicious Lebanese dinner that brings together traditional flavors and fresh ingredients. Perfect for serving to friends or family! Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4 people
Ingredients:
- 200 g bulgur- 400 ml water
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 dl fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 dl fresh mint, chopped
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 2 tomatoes, diced
- 1 dl tahini
- 1 dl water (for thinning tahini)
Instructions:
1. Rinse the bulgur in cold water and drain.2. Bring water to a boil in a pot, add bulgur, and simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes until absorbed.
3. Heat olive oil in a large pan, add chopped onion and crushed garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft.
4. Add cumin, coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
5. Stir in the cooked bulgur into the onion mixture and combine all ingredients. Remove from heat.
6. Squeeze lemon juice over the bulgur mixture and add chopped parsley and mint. Mix well.
7. Serve the bulgur mixture with diced cucumbers and diced tomatoes.
8. Prepare the tahini sauce by mixing tahini and water. Add salt and lemon juice to taste if needed.
9. Serve the Lebanese dinner with tahini sauce.
