A hearty breakfast perfect for a cozy morning at the cottage. Serves 4. Preparation time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 eggs
- 4 slices of bacon
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 avocado
- 100 g cheese (e.g. cheddar or gouda)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs (e.g. basil or parsley)
Instructions:
1. Cook the bacon slices in a pan until golden brown and crispy. Set aside.
2. Crack the eggs into the pan with the bacon grease and cook to your desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Lightly toast the rye bread in a pan or toaster.
4. Slice the tomatoes and avocado.
5. Assemble the breakfast: place bacon, cooked egg, tomato, avocado slices, and cheese on top of the rye bread.
6. Garnish with fresh herbs and enjoy your delicious breakfast at the cottage!
