Description: A rich and creamy dish made with layers of thinly sliced potatoes, garlic, and cheese, baked to perfection.

Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 1 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 dl grated cheese (e.g., cheddar or emmental)
- 2 tbsp butter
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Peel and finely chop the garlic.
3. In a bowl, mix together the heavy cream, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic.
4. Grease a baking dish with butter and layer the potato slices in the dish.
5. Pour the cream mixture over the potatoes, ensuring they are well covered.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the potatoes.
7. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 45 minutes.
8. Remove the foil and continue baking for another 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
9. Let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
