Delicious and nutritious granola bars, perfect for school snacks. You can use your favorite granola and prepare these bars easily in advance.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes + cooling
Serving Size: 10 bars
Ingredients:
- 1 ½ cups granola
- ⅓ cup honey
- ⅓ cup peanut butter
- ⅓ cup dried fruits (e.g., raisins or apricots)
- ⅓ cup nuts (e.g., almonds or walnuts)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, mix together the granola, dried fruits, nuts, and salt.
3. In another bowl, combine the honey, peanut butter, and vanilla extract. Heat the mixture in the microwave for about 30 seconds to make it easier to mix.
4. Combine the wet and dry ingredients and mix well until everything is evenly coated.
5. Press the mixture firmly into the prepared baking pan in an even layer.
6. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
7. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
