Ingredients:
- 4 sausages
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons curry powder (plus more for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- To serve: sauerkraut and French fries
Instructions:
1. Make either a long slit or several cross cuts in the sausages.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the sausages until nicely browned.
3. In a bowl, mix together ketchup, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce, and sugar. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Generously spoon the curry sauce over the sausages.
5. Sprinkle a little extra curry powder on top.
6. Serve the currywurst with sauerkraut and French fries.
