Ingredients:
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 150 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- A pinch of salt
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl over a water bath or in the microwave.
3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
4. Add the melted chocolate-butter mixture to the egg mixture and mix well.
5. Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into the batter. Gently fold to combine.
6. Pour in the milk and stir until the batter is smooth.
7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake in the oven for about 25-30 minutes.
8. Allow the cake to cool before serving. Optionally, dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate icing.
