Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Stir in the chocolate chips.
6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
8. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
