A delicious and comforting pasta dish with a rich and creamy mushroom sauce.

Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or pasta of your choice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 12 oz (340 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
4. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they release their moisture and are golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss until well coated.
8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
