Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or penne)
- 200 ml cream (or water)
- 150 g ham strips
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside.
2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic.
3. Heat the oil in a medium-sized pan over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and sauté until soft.
4. Add the ham strips to the pan and cook for a few minutes.
5. Pour the cream (or water) into the pan and stir well. Allow it to simmer until the sauce thickens slightly.
6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce and heat for a moment longer.
8. Serve immediately, optionally sprinkling Parmesan cheese on top.
