Ingredients:
- 1 kg potatoes
- 3 dl heavy cream
- 2 dl milk
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or cheddar)
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Peel and slice the potatoes into thin rounds.
2. Place the slices in a bowl and mix in the crushed garlic, salt, and black pepper.
3. Grease a baking dish and layer the potato slices in it.
4. Combine the heavy cream and milk, then pour the mixture over the potatoes.
5. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top of the potatoes.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake at 180 °C (350 °F) for about 45 minutes.
7. Remove the foil and bake for another 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
8. Let it sit for a moment before serving and garnish with fresh parsley.
