Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., tagliatelle or spaghetti)
- 200 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 100 g Parmesan cheese (grated)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and reserve some cooking water.
2. Chop the onion and garlic. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and add the onions. Sauté until softened.
3. Add the chopped mushrooms to the pan and cook until golden brown.
4. Pour the heavy cream into the pan with the mushrooms and let it simmer on low heat for about 5 minutes.
5. Stir in the cooked pasta into the sauce. Add a little reserved cooking water if needed to keep the pasta moist.
6. Season with salt and black pepper. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix well.
7. Serve the pasta garnished with fresh parsley.
