Ingredients:
- 500 g Coeur de filet steak
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 100 ml red wine (e.g., Châteauneuf du Pape)
Instructions:
1. Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Season the steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.
4. Add the crushed garlic, rosemary, and thyme to the skillet.
5. Sear the steak for about 3-4 minutes on each side until it develops a nice golden-brown crust.
6. Pour the red wine into the skillet and let it simmer for a moment to blend the flavors.
7. Continue cooking the steak for a few more minutes until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
8. Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes before slicing.
9. Serve the steak warm, accompanied by your choice of side dishes.
