Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- Cooking spray or additional butter for the skillet
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, and melted butter until well combined.
3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; it’s okay if there are a few lumps.
4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and lightly grease it with cooking spray or butter.
5. Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the skillet for each pancake.
6. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, about 2-3 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
7. Repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the skillet as needed.
8. Serve warm with your favorite toppings such as syrup, fruit, or whipped cream.
