Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
8. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
