Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
