Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
8. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
