Chili Beetroot Herring Patties

A delicious and unique dish combining herring fillets with the earthy sweetness of beetroot, served with Thai sweet chili sauce. Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 600g herring fillets (thawed)
- 4 tablespoons bread crumbs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ dl Thai sweet chili sauce
- 3 small cooked and grated beetroots
- 1 dl cream
- 1 egg
- 1 dl all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Thaw the herring fillets and drain them well.
2. In a bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, salt, grated beetroots, cream, and egg.
3. Add the drained herring fillets to the mixture and stir well.
4. Shape the mixture into patties and coat them in all-purpose flour.
5. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the patties on both sides until golden brown.
6. Serve warm with Thai sweet chili sauce.
