Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or tagliatelle)
- 200 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Chop the onion and garlic. Slice the mushrooms.
3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
4. Add the mushrooms to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
5. Pour in the heavy cream and mix well. Let the sauce simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water.
7. Season with salt and black pepper. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese.
8. Serve the pasta warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
