A delicious and pleasantly spiced toffee candy that perfectly combines sweetness and spices. You can also omit the cocoa for a purer toffee flavor.
Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: About 20 pieces
Ingredients:
- 200 g sugar
- 100 g butter
- 1 dl cream
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp cocoa powder (optional)
Instructions:
1. Prepare a baking dish lined with parchment paper.
2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
3. Add the sugar and cream to the melted butter. Mix well.
4. Heat the mixture, stirring continuously, until it begins to boil.
5. Add vanilla sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cocoa powder (if using).
6. Continue cooking for about 10-15 minutes, until the mixture turns golden brown and thickens.
7. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and allow it to cool at room temperature.
8. Once cooled, cut the toffee into pieces and enjoy!
