Ingredients:
- 250 g pasta (e.g., tagliatelle or spaghetti)
- 200 g fresh mushrooms (e.g., button mushrooms or chanterelles)
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 200 ml cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 50 g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water. Drain and reserve a bit of the cooking water.
2. Finely chop the onion and garlic. Slice the mushrooms.
3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
4. Add the mushrooms to the skillet and cook for a few minutes until they are tender and the moisture has evaporated.
5. Pour the cream into the mushroom mixture and let it simmer gently for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Toss the cooked pasta with the creamy mushroom sauce. Add a little reserved cooking water if needed to achieve a creamier consistency.
7. Serve the portions topped with Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley.
