A delicious combination of rich Gorgonzola cheese and seasoned chicken, perfect for any occasion.
Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 6 servings
Ingredients:
- 100 g olive oil
- 100 g Gorgonzola cheese
- 3 dl all-purpose flour (or some whole wheat flour)
- White pepper to taste
- 100 g leek
- 1 dl sour cream
- 0.5 dl chopped chives
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 200 g plain chicken fillet strips
- 50 g butter
- 2 tsp baking powder
- A pinch of salt
- 1 dl milk
- 1 egg
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F).
2. Melt the butter and mix it with the olive oil.
3. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, and white pepper. Add the butter-olive oil mixture and stir until a smooth dough forms.
4. Press the dough into the bottom and sides of a pie dish.
5. Chop the leek and sauté it in a pan until softened. Add the chicken strips and cook until they are done.
6. In a bowl, mix together the sour cream, milk, egg, chopped chives, and nutmeg. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
7. Spread the chicken-leek mixture over the dough and pour the sour cream mixture on top. Crumble the Gorgonzola cheese over the surface.
8. Bake the pie in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the top is beautifully golden brown.
9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
