Ingredients:

- 1 can black beans (approximately 400 g)
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 cup oats
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil for frying
- Fresh parsley or cilantro (optional)

Instructions:

1. Rinse and drain the black beans thoroughly. Place them in a bowl and lightly mash with a fork.
2. Add the chopped onion, crushed garlic, oats, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the beans. Mix well.
3. Shape the mixture into about 8-10 round patties.
4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
5. Serve warm with salad, bread, or dipping sauce. You can also garnish with fresh herbs.
