Deliciously sweet and buttery buns, perfect for gourmet burgers. Their crispiness adds an incredible flavor to savory meats.
Preparation Time: 2 hours (including rising)
Serving Size: 8 buns
Ingredients:
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 25 g fresh yeast
- 50 g sugar
- 10 g salt
- 200 ml milk
- 100 g butter (melted)
- 2 eggs
- 1 egg (for glazing)
Instructions:
1. Dissolve the fresh yeast in warm milk and add the sugar. Let the mixture sit for about 10 minutes until it begins to bubble.
2. In a bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the flour and pour in the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs.

4. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
5. Gently knead the dough and divide it into 8 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a bun.
6. Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
7. Brush the buns with the egg-milk mixture and bake at 200 °C (390 °F) for about 15-20 minutes, until they are beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool on a rack before using.
