Ingredients:
- 1 liter red wine
- 2 dl water
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3-4 whole cloves
- 2-3 cardamom pods
- 1 orange (sliced)
- 1 lemon (sliced)
- 1 dl rum or brandy (optional)
Instructions:
1. Pour the red wine and water into a pot.
2. Add sugar, cinnamon stick, cloves, and cardamom pods.
3. Heat the mixture over low heat until the sugar dissolves.
4. Add the sliced orange and lemon.
5. Let the glögi steep for about 20-30 minutes, ensuring it does not boil.
6. Strain the spices before serving.
7. Serve hot, and if desired, you can add rum or brandy.
