A classic French sauce that beautifully complements white fish. This delicious sauce is made from butter and white wine, perfect for enhancing your dining experience. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 100 ml white wine
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 shallot, finely chopped
- 150 g cold butter, diced
- Salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine the white wine, white wine vinegar, and finely chopped shallot. Cook over medium heat until the liquid has reduced by half.
2. Lower the heat and add the cold butter cubes one at a time, stirring constantly until the butter is completely melted and the sauce is emulsified.
3. Season the sauce with salt and white pepper to taste.
4. Optionally, strain the sauce to remove the shallot pieces.
5. Serve immediately over white fish.
