A delicious Yule log that combines champagne and whipped cream, creating the perfect dessert for your Christmas table. Preparation Time: 1 hour (plus chilling time)
Serving Size: 8-10 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g chocolate cake base
- 300 g sweetened chestnut puree
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 100 ml champagne
- 50 g powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- Chocolate shavings for decoration
- Berries (e.g., raspberries or blackberries) for decoration
Instructions:
1. Cut the chocolate cake base in half and place one half on a serving platter.
2. In a bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla sugar until soft and fluffy.
3. Gently fold the champagne into the cream mixture and mix well.
4. Spread half of the chestnut puree over the cake layer and cover it with the cream-champagne mixture.
5. Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the process until all ingredients are used.
6. Decorate the cake with chocolate shavings and berries.
7. Allow the dessert to chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
