Beef Bulgogi

Description: A flavorful Korean dish featuring marinated beef, served with a savory sauce and garnished with fresh ingredients. Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 600 g beef tenderloin
- Sea salt
- Pepper
- Bulgogi sauce (see below)
- Pea shoots or similar greens
- Toasted sesame seeds
- Crushed peanuts
Bulgogi Sauce:
- 5 tbsp ginger, thinly sliced
- 5 tbsp garlic, thinly sliced
- 0.5 dl Japanese soy sauce
- 1 dl rice vinegar
- 0.5 dl sugar
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Bulgogi Sauce:
- Heat the sesame seeds and crushed peanuts in a hot pan until they are lightly toasted.
- Slice the ginger and garlic thinly.
- In a pot, bring the soy sauce and rice vinegar to a boil. Add sugar, garlic, and ginger slices. Boil and let it rest.
2. Prepare the Beef:
- Remove the membranes from the beef tenderloin and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet or grill the beef until it is beautifully browned.
- Transfer the beef to a 150°C (300°F) oven for about 10 minutes and wrap it in foil to rest.
3. Slice the Beef:
- Cut the beef against the grain into 1 cm slices and arrange them on a serving plate.
4. Serve:
- Pour the warm Bulgogi sauce over the beef. Garnish with pea shoots, toasted sesame seeds, and crushed peanuts.
5. Enjoy:
- Serve with rice on the side.
