A delicious and crispy avocado-mozzarella toast, perfect as a snack or a light meal. Fresh herbs and garlic add flavor while toasting gives them a delightful crunch. Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Serving Size: 2 toasts
Ingredients:
- 2 slices of bread (e.g., ciabatta or sandwich bread) - 1 avocado
- 100 g mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh herbs (e.g., basil, thyme, rosemary)
- 1 garlic clove
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
1. Start by preparing the herb mixture. Combine the olive oil with the herbs and add the minced garlic. Season with salt and black pepper. 2. Slice the avocado and mozzarella. Spread the herb mixture on the bread slices and layer the avocado and mozzarella slices on two of the bread slices.
3. Top with the remaining bread slices.
4. Place the toasts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 220°C (428°F) for about 8 minutes, or cook in a skillet over medium heat for about 2 minutes on each side.
