A delicious and hearty stew perfect for a weekday dinner that the whole family will enjoy.
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

- 400 g beef stew cubes
- 1-2 onions
- A splash of oil
- 3 bay leaves
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tsp white pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tbsp flour
- 5 dl water
- 2-3 potatoes (optional)
- 2-3 carrots (optional)

Instructions:

1. Peel and chop the onions.
2. Heat a splash of oil in a large pot. Add the beef stew cubes and brown them until golden.
3. Add the onions to the pot and sauté until they are soft.
4. Add the bay leaves, salt, white pepper, and paprika powder. Mix well.
5. Sprinkle the flour over the meat and stir to absorb it.
6. Pour the water into the pot and stir. Let it simmer on low heat for about 45 minutes.
7. If using potatoes and carrots, peel and chop them. Add them to the pot about 20 minutes before the stew is done.
8. Check the seasoning and add more salt if needed.
Enjoy the stew with some fresh bread on the side.
