Ingredients:
- 500 g chicken breast fillets - 3 tablespoons holy basil paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons oil for frying
- 1-2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 red chili, chopped (optional)
- 2 dl basmati or jasmine rice (or rice-quinoa mix)
- Fresh herbs (e.g., coriander) for garnish
- Avocado, fresh pineapple, or mango for serving (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the rice according to package instructions. 2. Cut the chicken breast fillets into strips.
3. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add crushed garlic and chili, and sauté briefly.
4. Add the chicken strips to the pan and cook until golden brown.
5. In a bowl, mix holy basil paste, soy sauce, and honey. Pour the mixture over the chicken and stir well.
6. Allow to cook for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
7. Serve the basil chicken with the cooked rice and garnish with fresh herbs. Add avocado or fruit for freshness if desired.
