This delicious recipe combines juicy duck breast with crispy rustic potatoes. Preparation time is about 45 minutes. Serves 2.
Ingredients:
- 1 duck breast (348 g)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Sea salt
- 5 potatoes
- Grill seasoning
- Paprika powder
- Sea salt (for seasoning)
- Butter + oil for frying
Instructions:
1. Bring the duck breast to room temperature for about 15 minutes before cooking.
2. Season the duck breast with black pepper and sea salt.
3. Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil them in salted water for about 10 minutes until almost tender.
4. Drain the potatoes and season with grill seasoning, paprika powder, and sea salt.
5. In a pan, heat butter and oil. Add the duck breast skin-side down and fry for about 6-8 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the breast and cook the other side for 3-4 minutes.
6. Remove the duck breast from the pan and let it rest under foil for about 5 minutes.
7. Meanwhile, fry the potatoes in the same pan until golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes.
8. Slice the duck breast and serve it with the fried rustic potatoes.
