Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli) - 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 400 g can crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
- Grated Parmesan cheese for serving
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve some pasta water. 2. Heat olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft and translucent.
3. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and mix well. Add sugar, salt, and black pepper. Let it simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
