A delicious and hearty Spanish meatball dish made with a mix of beef and pork, served with a rich tomato sauce. Perfect as a main course with pasta or as part of a tapas spread.

Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g ground beef
- 300 g ground pork
- 100 ml breadcrumbs
- 100 ml milk
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Tomato Sauce:
- 1 can (400 g) crushed tomatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs and milk, let it soak for 5 minutes.
2. Add ground beef, ground pork, chopped onion, crushed garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, paprika, and parsley. Mix until well combined.
3. Shape the mixture into about 20 small meatballs.
4. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for about 5–7 minutes until golden brown. Set aside.
5. For the tomato sauce: Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil in the same pan. Add crushed tomatoes, sugar, salt, black pepper, and oregano. Let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
6. Add the cooked meatballs to the sauce and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.
7. Serve the meatballs hot with pasta or as part of a tapas platter.
