These delicious burger buns are the perfect addition to your homemade burgers. They are soft and flavorful, and easy to make.
Preparation Time: 2 hours (includes rising time)
Serving Size: 8 buns

Ingredients:

- 5 dl whole wheat flour
- 2 dl water
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 packet dry yeast (about 11 g)
- 1 egg (for brushing)
- 1 tbsp water (for brushing)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let the mixture rest for about 10 minutes until it becomes bubbly.
2. Add the flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it is elastic.
3. Place the dough in a bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 2 hours or until it has doubled in size.
4. Once the dough has risen, divide it into 8 pieces and shape them into buns.
5. Place the buns on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
6. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F). Mix the egg and 1 tbsp of water. Brush the buns with the mixture and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
7. Bake the buns in the oven for about 12 minutes, until they are beautifully golden brown.
8. Allow to cool before serving.
