These relaxed and hearty rolls are easy and quick to make without much hassle. They are perfect for a snack or as burger buns.
Preparation Time: 1 hour 15 minutes (includes rising)
Serving Size: Makes about 12 rolls
Ingredients:
- 5 cups of water
- 1 packet (11 g) dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 cup oil
- 10 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions:
1. Warm the water to body temperature and add the dry yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
2. Stir in the oil until combined.
3. Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the mixture until a soft, non-sticky dough forms.
4. Cover the dough bowl with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour.
5. Preheat the oven to 450°F (225°C).
6. Scoop the risen dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming rolls of your desired size.
7. Brush the tops of the rolls with a little water for a crispy crust.
8. Bake in the oven for about 15-20 minutes, until the rolls are golden brown.
9. Allow to cool for a moment before serving.
