These sweet toffee bites are the perfect treat for parties or afternoon coffee. Easy to make, these delicious morsels will leave you wanting more! Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: About 20 bites
Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl brown sugar
- 2 dl cream
- 2 dl all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1 dl nuts (e.g., walnuts or hazelnuts)
- A pinch of salt
- Chocolate (for melting on top, optional)
Instructions:
1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat.
2. Add the sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring well.
3. Pour in the cream and heat while stirring continuously until the mixture thickens.
4. Add the all-purpose flour, vanilla sugar, and salt to the mixture. Mix until smooth.
5. Chop the nuts and incorporate them into the batter. Stir well.
6. Pour the batter onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and smooth the top.
7. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 15-20 minutes, until the top is golden brown.
8. Allow to cool and cut into pieces.
9. If desired, melt chocolate and drizzle it over the bites before serving.
