A delicious Egyptian spice blend made from nuts, seeds, and spices. Perfect for dipping bread in olive oil or as a topping for tofu. Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons pine nuts - 2 tablespoons pistachios
- 2 tablespoons blanched almonds
- 2 tablespoons coriander or fennel seeds
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
1. Toast the pine nuts, pistachios, almonds, coriander or fennel seeds, chili powder, and cumin in a skillet over medium heat for about 4 minutes until browned and fragrant.2. Transfer the toasted ingredients to a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground.
3. In the same skillet, toast the sesame seeds for an additional 1-2 minutes.
4. Mix the sesame seeds into the spice blend.
5. Serve the dukkah with bread and olive oil or use it as a topping for fish, meat, chicken, or vegetable dishes.
