A simple and delicious comfort food dish perfect for rainy days, ideal for the whole family! Preparation Time: 45 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 servings
Ingredients:
- 300 g macaroni - 400 g ground beef (or pork)
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 400 g canned crushed tomatoes
- 200 ml cooking cream
- 100 g grated cheese (e.g., Emmental or Cheddar)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano or basil
Instructions:
1. Cook the macaroni according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside. 2. Peel and chop the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté the onion until soft.
3. Add the ground meat to the pan and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and herbs.
4. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and cooking cream, mix well, and let simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.
5. Combine the cooked macaroni with the sauce and pour the mixture into a baking dish.
6. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for about 20-25 minutes until the cheese is golden brown.
7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
