Ingredients:

- 250 g all-purpose flour
- 125 ml milk
- 50 g butter
- 50 g sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 packet (about 7 g) dry yeast
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions:

1. Warm the milk and melt the butter in it. Let it cool slightly.
2. In a large bowl, mix the flour, dry yeast, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt.
3. Add the cooled milk mixture and the egg to the dry ingredients.
4. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
5. Cover the dough with a cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 30 minutes.
6. Roll out the dough to about 1 cm thick and cut it into desired shapes.
7. Place the pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and let them rise for another 15 minutes.
8. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes or until the pastries are golden brown.
9. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
