Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225 g) fettuccine or spaghetti
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz (225 g) mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are browned and tender, about 5-7 minutes.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is well coated in the creamy sauce.
7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
