Ingredients:
- 500 g beef (e.g., sirloin or chuck)
- 1 dl Greek yogurt
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
- 4 pita breads
- Fresh salad (e.g., lettuce and tomatoes)
- Sauce (e.g., tzatziki or chili sauce)
Instructions:
1. Cut the beef into thin strips.
2. Prepare the marinade by mixing yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.
3. Add the beef strips to the marinade and mix well. Allow it to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
4. Heat the grill or frying pan over medium heat. Grill or fry the beef strips for about 10-15 minutes until cooked and nicely browned.
5. Warm the pita breads lightly on the grill or in the oven.
6. Fill the pita breads with the grilled beef strips, fresh salad, and your choice of sauce.
