Ingredients:
- 200 g butter
- 200 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 200 g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 100 ml milk
- 500 ml heavy whipping cream (such as Flora Vispi)
- Powdered sugar (to taste)
- Food coloring (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
2. Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder, then add to the batter alternately with the milk.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until the cake is fully cooked.
6. Allow the cake to cool completely before decorating.
7. Whip the heavy cream and add powdered sugar and food coloring if desired.
8. Use various piping tips to create decorations such as cream roses or swirls.
