A beautiful and delicious cake perfect for weddings or special occasions. Preparation Time: 1 hour
Serving Size: 12 servings
Ingredients:
- 250 g butter
- 500 g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 375 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 250 ml milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp red food coloring
- 400 g cream cheese
- 200 g powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fondant for decorations
- Edible violet flowers
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour the cake pans.
2. Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
4. Gradually add the dry mixture and milk to the butter mixture, alternating between the two. Stir in the vanilla extract and red food coloring until smooth.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pans and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool.
6. For the filling, mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and lemon juice until smooth.
7. Slice the cooled cakes in half and fill them with the cream cheese mixture, stacking the layers.
8. Cover the top and sides of the cake with fondant.
9. Shape fondant into a Star Gate and wedding couple figures, placing them on top of the cake.
10. Decorate the cake with edible violet flowers and additional fondant decorations.
11. Serve the cake and enjoy!
