A delightful treat to celebrate May Day, perfect as a sweet addition to brunch or festive tables. These churro balls are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, especially delicious with Nutella.Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Serving Size: 4-6 people
Ingredients:
- 2 cups water - 100 g butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tbsp cinnamon (for coating)
- Nutella for dipping
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, and salt until boiling.2. Add the flour all at once and stir vigorously until the dough pulls away from the sides of the pan.
3. Remove the pan from the heat and let the dough cool slightly.
4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
5. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (180°C).
6. Pipe the dough into the hot oil in small balls and fry until golden brown.
7. Remove churro balls and let them drain on paper towels.
8. Mix the sugar and cinnamon, then roll the churro balls in the mixture.
9. Serve warm with Nutella for dipping.
