A delicious pulled pork recipe that combines Asian flavors, perfect for festive gatherings or a weeknight dinner. Preparation Time: 4 hours (includes cooking time)
Serving Size: 6-8 servings
Ingredients:
- 1.5 kg pork shoulder - 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp rice vinegar
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2-3 green onions, chopped
- 1 dl cilantro, chopped (optional)
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 150°C (300°F). 2. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, garlic, ginger, chili powder, black pepper, salt, and sesame oil.
3. Rub the spice mixture evenly over the pork shoulder.
4. Place the pork shoulder in a baking dish and cover it with aluminum foil.
5. Bake in the oven for about 3 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulled apart.
6. Remove the meat from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before shredding it with a fork.
7. Serve the pulled pork with chopped green onions and cilantro, alongside rice or on a salad bed.
