Vanilla Chocolate Moka Mousse

Description: A rich and creamy dessert combining the flavors of vanilla and dark chocolate, perfect for any occasion. Preparation Time: 30 minutes (plus 2 hours chilling)
Serving Size: Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 egg whites
- 2 dl heavy cream
- 2 sheets of gelatin
- 150 g dark chocolate
- 1 vanilla bean
- 0.5 dl sugar (optional)
Instructions:
1. Soak the gelatin sheets in cold water for about 5-10 minutes.
2. Melt the dark chocolate in a water bath or microwave, being careful not to burn it.
3. Split the vanilla bean and scrape the seeds into the melted chocolate.
4. Heat the cream in a saucepan, but do not boil. Once hot, add the gelatin sheets and stir until completely dissolved.
5. Combine the melted chocolate with the cream mixture and mix well.
6. Whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to whip until the mixture is glossy.
7. Gently fold the egg white mixture into the chocolate cream mixture to keep it light and airy.
8. Spoon the mousse into serving dishes and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
9. Serve with whipped cream or chocolate shavings if desired.
