Ingredients:
- 300 g pasta (e.g., spaghetti or fusilli)
- 200 g fresh spinach
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 100 ml grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 garlic cloves (chopped)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
1. Cook the pasta according to the package instructions in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve a little pasta water.
2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about one minute.
3. Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until fully wilted (about 3-4 minutes).
4. Pour the heavy cream into the spinach and mix well. Allow the sauce to simmer on low heat for a few minutes.
5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and mix. Season with salt and black pepper. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water.
6. Combine the cooked pasta with the sauce and mix thoroughly.
7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh basil if desired.
