A delicious plant-based alternative to traditional kebabs, perfect for wraps or pita bread.
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Serving Size: 4 servings
Ingredients:
- 200 g seitan
- 1 dl cooked chickpeas
- 1 dl oat cream
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 dl breadcrumbs
- Tortillas or pita bread for serving
- Fresh vegetables (e.g., lettuce, tomato, cucumber) for serving
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mash the seitan and chickpeas together until well combined.
2. Add oat cream, soy sauce, olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix well.
3. Stir in the breadcrumbs until the mixture is uniform and moldable.
4. Shape the mixture into kebab-style pieces or patties.
5. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook the Vöner pieces for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
6. Serve the Vöner in tortillas or pita bread with fresh vegetables. Enjoy!
