Serving Size: 1 gingerbread house
Ingredients:
- 1 package gingerbread dough (about 500 g)- 1 dl sugar
- 1 dl syrup
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp ginger
- 1 tbsp cloves
- 1 dl powdered sugar (for decoration)
- 1 egg (for royal icing)
- 2-3 tbsp water (for royal icing)
- Various candies and sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).2. Roll out the gingerbread dough to about 0.5 cm thick.
3. Cut out the pieces for the gingerbread house: walls, roof, and doors.
4. Place the cut pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.
5. Allow the gingerbread pieces to cool completely.
6. Prepare the royal icing by combining powdered sugar, egg, and water in a bowl. Mix well.
7. Use the royal icing to attach the pieces of the gingerbread house together.
8. Decorate the gingerbread house with various candies and sprinkles as desired.
9. Let the decoration dry before serving or displaying.
